So I’m pretty sure today isย “National Left Turn Gets To Go First Day” or “National Don’t Come to a Complete Stop Day”!!!!ย ๐Ÿ˜’

Or maybe it’s just plain ol’ “National Crazy Driver Day”!!!!

What ever the name of the day…it’sย NOT SAFE to drive!!!!ย ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Let me tell you, friends, it was not a good day to be on the road. And with all this craziness going on around me, I was having a hard time keeping a good attitude. 5 different times in the 10 minute span it takes me to get home, I was accosted by crazy drivers.

It was all I could do to not let something unpleasant slip out of my mouth… ย ๐Ÿ˜ก

But instead of getting angry or flustered, I began to ask GOD to help me keep an even temper…and HE did. After the 4th crazy driver I began to search my mind for Bible verses that would help me keep my calm.

The first verse that popped into my mind was one from the twenty-third Psalm…

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” {Psalm 23:4 NKJV}

๐Ÿ™‚ I thought that might be a little extreme (or not!)…lol

Then another verse, from Proverbs, came to mind…

“A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted.” {Proverbs 12:16 NLT}

My point is…I had a vault of reassurance from which I could make a withdrawal. Now, I’m not saying that I have hundreds of verses memorized word-for-word, but I do have GOD’s word in my heart. At one time or another, I’ve read these verses and at the appropriate time, GOD brought them to my remembrance. This happens all the time…in many different situations. It happens all the time here…on HIS blog ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep Calm

We don’t have to know all of GOD’s Word verbatim, but it is helpful to know ideas that are contained in the Bible. And the only way we’re going to know those thoughts of GOD, is to read HIS Word.

When I’m preparing HIS blog, I do a lot of searching through the Scriptures to find the verses I’m thinking of. Sometimes I’ll only have one word to go on to find a verse, but since I know it’s there, I keep searching until I find it. HE has always been faithful to help me find just the right verses to share with you all.

Bottom line…you can’t recall what you don’t know. Take the time to fill your vault so on “National Crazy Driver Day”ย 2017,ย you will have something to help keep you calm, tooย ๐Ÿ˜„

Gaining strength though our fellowship.

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” {1 John 1:3 KJV}

  1. Loved the 23rd Psalm coming to your mind. Very funny. Yeah, I couldn’t believe how nuts the drivers were today. One guy actually decided to stop in the middle of the opposite direction’s lanes for the stop light so no one could get past him. Wow! I honestly think the driving is getting so much worse because people are focused on themselves (and their phones) and don’t care about the other drivers. It’s another example of how society is turning more inward. But I fully agree that having God’s Word in our hearts and minds makes everything easier.
