The Cloud…

The Cloud…

Dragon Cloud-FFThe cloud is a dragon, the moon its bright eye.

The cloud is an eagle, soaring high in the sky.

The cloud is a puppy, bright eyed and cute.

The cloud is a flower, the moon is its root.

The cloud holds a promise, not seen in the night.

The cloud is where GOD tells us we can have life.

“”I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. “It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; “and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. “The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”” {Genesis 9:13-16 NKJV}

What do you see in the clouds?

I want to thank my fellowship friend for the picture and the idea for today’s post. 🙂

Gaining strength though our fellowship.

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” {1 John 1:3 KJV}

It Was The First Time…

College Grad 2015-KS
College Graduation 2015

It was the first time, but it won’t be the last. After 7 long years of taking college courses, adding and dropping a couple of different majors along the way, I finally graduated from college with a BS in Elementary Education. My dream, since the third grade, was to become a teacher. I thought I was going to teach all the little babies how to become “productive members of society” (a common phrase heard among teachers of Social Studies). But, as it so often happens in life, my dreams changed. I fell in love with the library!!!

Rise Above…

Rise Above

“I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.”” {Isaiah 44:22 NLT}

“For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy.” {Psalm 61:3 NKJV}

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.” {Proverbs 18:10 NKJV}

Gaining strength though our fellowship.

Walking the fence…

Walking the fence…

The first thing I thought of when I read this verse was “walking on the fence.”

“Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy.” {James 4:4 NET}

There is an obvious dividing line (sorry…not a fine line) that separates us from living a life that is pleasing to GOD and a life that is pleasing to our own selves.

Let’s call that dividing line a fence. Can you picture it? Can you see where you are in relation to that fence?… Continue reading “Walking the fence…”

Newton’s Third Law

Newton’s Third Law

My fellowship friend and I were having a discussion about  Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (NKJV). As usual, I was making it more difficult than it needed to be.

The concept of these verses is very simple: Do this…get that!

If I put my hand in a flame, I will get burned. If I hear a puppy bark, I will smile :)… Continue reading “Newton’s Third Law”
