“”But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”
How do you feel about where you are, right now, in your life?
“Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.”
The Weekly Photo Challenge is Satisfaction. I was inspired by this prompt, because we are all satisfied by different things.
Why do you suppose we humans often continue to engage in behaviors that we know are destructive to ourselves?
“They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.” (Jonah 2:8 KJV)
“Those who regard worthless idols Forsake their own Mercy.” (Jonah 2:8 NKJV)
First, let’s discuss the definition of an “idol.”
“Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor.”
“You have plowed wickedness;
You have reaped iniquity.
You have eaten the fruit of lies,
Because you trusted in your own way…”
In the first part of “This ol’ house…” I told you about the destruction that GOD allowed in my life…how I didn’t do so well with the consequences of my actions…but finally found hope in the good pieces that GOD was revealing to me from the rubble that was left behind.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
What is good? What is perfect?
Is the quality of the gift determined by the one the gift is given to…or by the one who gives the gift?
Now there’s a mind boggler!!
