Do you think GOD is asking you to do something?

Well…think again… When GOD is speaking to you, HE is telling you what HE wants you to do.

GOD doesn’t say… “If you don’t mind, would you please…?”

GOD didn’t ask Noah to build an Ark, HE commanded him

(Genesis 6:12-22)

GOD didn’t give Moses 10 requests, HE gave him 10 Commandments

(Exodus 20:1-17)

JESUS didn’t suggest that we love one another, HE commanded it

(John 13:34)

GOD doesn’t ask us to do anything. As my fellowship friend pointed out, GOD “is the one and only power. We are very special to HIM but not so “special” that HE has to make requests of us.”

The Bible says that GOD doesn’t need us to do things for HIM. (Acts 17:25)

HOLD ON…Don’t freak out!!!

Think about it…why would the Creator of the universe need you or I to do anything for HIM? Who are we that GOD would even think about us? (Psalm 8:4)

This is who we are…huntersmoon10-18frame

…sons of GOD

…HIS children

…created in HIS image

…HIS friend

…HIS temple

…a new creation

…blessed

GOD loves us so much…GOD loves us SO much…and this is what HE tells us…

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” {John 14:15 NKJV}

No…GOD doesn’t ask…but because we love HIM…we will obey when HE speaks.

Gaining strength though our fellowship.

“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.” {1 John 1:3 KJV}

  1. So true. In this day and age of “Me first” and “‘l’ll do it MY way,” it is so easy to forget that HE is God, and we ARE NOT! He doesn’t NEED us and never has! He loves us, and He desires for us to JOIN HIM in what He is doing. 🙂 Good stuff!

  2. So true that He doesn’t Ask, He TELLS–the good part of grace, is that if I don’t hear Him the first time, or I’m unsure what He said, He’s always faithful to clarify and remind me 🙂 God bless you.

    1. He is faithful to repeat HIS command…there are so many examples in the Bible of this…I’m glad HE does, or maybe not glad that I don’t listen the first time!! I’m learning to listen 🙂 GOD bless you. You make writing for HIS blog such a pleasure 🙂
