Look at the picture. To most it just looks like a sticky mess that has to be cleaned off a fence post. But do you know what this sticky protrusion could turn into?

“Amber is an organic gemstone, forming from the hardened resin of ancient pine trees…which fossilizes…over many centuries and makes it hard and sturdy.”

This unsightly wart of a substance could one day be worn in the tiara of a princess…or hang around the neck of your Great (x10) Granddaughter.

This humble little oozing of resin could one day be a most prized possession. It’s not doing anything to be noticed. It’s just doing what it’s supposed to be doing…what God created it to do. And it will patiently wait for its recognition…its exaltation…its reward.

Gaining strength though our fellowship.

  1. This is great!! That is a powerful message from such a simple picture. If we all stop trying to be something and follow GOD’s plan for us work, we too could “be a most prized possession” of the world. GOD created us all special but many seem to not accept that and feel they must “keep up with (or surpass) the Jones” to be special and get their earthly recognition for it. If we all follow GOD;s calling we will receive the greatest recognition; spiritual salvation.

    1. Thank you for your comments. I most appreciate your urging ALL of us to follow God’s calling. There is no prize greater than to be possessed by God, Himself!
